Halo chair:

The design of Halo chair is based on a combination between a material and a technique.
The rattan is weaved as a textile. It expresses qualities, flexibility, resistance, and lightness
through the function. The Halo chair is a modern example of using a basic natural material
to create a piece of furniture.

Designed by Alex Estadieu in collaboration with Marjukka Vuorisalo, textile designer and Sokeva.
Project advised by Harri Koskinen.

Fausto:
A new active clothing collection that brings a touch of elegance and gentleman into sports wear. The collection demonstrates new ways of using reflection and coloured stitching to create graphic patterns. The design also plays with the element of seeing from a distance. Reflection is used as a form of graphic pattern from afar. Coloured stitching is used as a visual quality element from up close. The clothing range is suitable for cycling, running, cross-country skiing, and other outdoor/indoor oriented activities.

30ForSale Book:
There's a shift occurring in the scale of design production. It's being driven by a body of consumers who are interested in buying objects with a unique story behind them, and by designers who don't identify with mass industrial production, but decide to take a different route. This publication is meant to conclude, document and promote the concept behind 30ForSale.
It's a complimentary mixture of designed objects and articles from the design industry, designers, retail and producers.

St8ls:
St8ls (pronounced stools) is a table created from iconic Finnish design. The design method is based on relooking existing production methods. Production for St8ls means a new production run inspired by the essence of the company’s design culture. For the public it means the chance to own a product that is a continued design icon, presented and used in a new way.

Iittala Care
Iittala Care is centered around offering inspiration to show Iittala objects in their best condition possible. The Iittala Care additionals are designed specifically for polishing glass or metal objects, especially after washing by hand or dishwasher. Each care additional is made from a microfiber textile with a special hand insert for better contact with the material. The prints on the care additionals simbolize both the general Iittala brand identity as well as iconic objects from the Iittala range. Lux_it_1
Lux_it:
Lux_it is a comment on the history and tradition of dining habits. We increasingly use food packaging as dishes in our modern society. We consume food straight from bags, boxes and a variety of synthetic containers. In Lux_it, traditional ceramics and metal dishes are combined with modern food containers. It results in an alternative eating experience by bringing traditional and cultural elements together.

Wood-becomes-paper (paper cup series)
Each paper cup illustrates a part of how paper is made. The image stages start with the forest, leading towards the logging industry and eventual warehouse distribution.  The cups communicate the advanced Finnish paper and wood industry as a dependable source of employment. The design also brings more value to a usually disposable material.
